Probate & Letters of Administration

The legal process after the death of a loved one can be complicated and difficult. Probate is the process of registering with the Supreme Court of WA the deceased’s will and appointing an Executor, so they have the legal authority to deal with the deceased’s estate (legal ability to collect and receive assets and pay liabilities). From there the Executor must administer the estate according to the will (unless challenged or otherwise varied by a Deed of Family Arrangement).
